EGEE & GridwiseTech, an EGEE Business Associate showcasing their Technologies at ISC'07

At the International Supercomputing Conference in Dresden, EGEE showcases its Grid infrastructure and key projects. EGEE Business Associate, GridwiseTech, announces Mobile Access to scalable Solutions, presenting live demos of applications for selected business sectors.

The International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) is the leading Supercomputing Conference and Exhibition in Europe. ISC'07 takes place 26-29 June 2007 in Dresden, Germany.

This conference focuses on all aspects of High Performance Computing (HPC). EGEE as the provider of HPC services for the CERN (European Council of Nuclear Research) in the context of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) shows its achievements for the LHC and for all other E-Science projects with its involvement. EGEE popularises Grid based HPC services for all branches of science with a significant portion of parallelisable computation. The EGEE booth presents on-line monitoring of worldwide processing and the computing on demand approach of the Grid Computing community.

Also in Dresden, GridwiseTech, offers visitors an outstanding opportunity to see mobile access to Grid-complied applications at booth D16. The engineering demo shows how the process of creating the visualisation of sophisticated simulations can be reduced dramatically. This feature can be used especially during presentations before company boards or during meetings with a client.

Media representatives will also be interested in the demo. They will have a chance to prepare animated material from e.g. a disaster site and air it faster than competitive studios do.
