The BREIN exploitation item methodology involves collecting the main partners’ interests to be exploited in a future (both commercially or academic way), called Exploitation Item (EI), in order to identify the BREIN results. Concretely, the Exploitation workpackage has identified a set of software EIs as well as methodological. The methodological items are related to methods, mechanisms, methodologies as BREIN roadmap, user manuals, reference documents (BREIN architecture), etc. On the other hand, the software packages will be created from the components developed in Implementation WP, grouped in different categories according to exploitation methodology, and packaged into software packages. Moreover, these software packages are classified depending on the package complexity as BREIN Toolkits, formed by groups of components and BREIN Frameworks, composed by groups of BREIN toolkits, BREIN components and additional components.
Frameworks
It deals with the modelling and concretisation of abstract workflows designed by users. Basically, this framework is composed by all component related to workflow plus those required from service discovery.

The SLA Management enables service providers and customers to enter a business relationship on the basis of electronic contracts in the form of Service Level Agreements (SLAs). It allows for monitoring performance of a service provider according to previously agreed terms & conditions, thus increasing competition and user-friendliness.

The BREIN Resource management framework provides a Service Provider wide resource allocation and job management infrastructure. It manages heterogeneous computational resources, such as virtualized resources and large clusters, and reacts to failures and QoS degradations in order to increase the SP reliability and to reduce penalties to the minimum

Business Relationships Framework
Business Relationship Management is required so that organisations can record and maintain their contacts with business partners, their opinion of those partners, and the contractual relationships with those partners. Prospective partners are identified by the Workflow Management or the Planning and Adaptation building blocks. Once the partners are identified, interactions with SLA Mgt to define a dedicated SLA for each service used are also required. The business relationships also act as a root of trust for access control, strongly linking it with security.

The Service Broker selects the best service which fits the customer requests from this selection involves both the discovery and selection nctionality will leverage the service providers' offers. Basically, of the service considering both semantic functional and non-functional properties. The non-functional properties will be described in terms of SLA terms such as QoS metrics located in SLA templates. All the descriptions will be semantically enhanced by the usage of OWL-S for service functional descriptions and semantic annotations of SLA files for the non-functional descriptions. The broker thereby can return the “best fit”, which may however not meet all conditions specified by the customer. This fu discovery by means of the selection of the best choice of the discovered candidate services that are available to perform the service requested by the customer.

Semantic Enhanced SLA Publishing and Registry Enables the publication and discovery of services by means of semantic service descriptions (OWL-S profiles) enriched with its related SATSLA templates that describe the SLAs offered by the provider of the service.

BREIN provides efficient, asynchronous and multi-casted, event-based message distribution. On one hand, notifications are interoperable with other solutions due to implementation of the latest OASIS standard for Web Services Notifications by the Notification Provider service. On the other hand, the BREIN notification system extends interoperability to agents by im- plementation of the Sensor component. It also enables end-users (not only services) to ret- rieve notifications through their popular messanger clients by supporting the XMPP protocol.

SERA: Semantically Enhanced Resource Allocator The SERA allocates the resources available in a SP taking int requirements of the costumer tasks and the SP business policies. Additionally, it is capable to infer the resource allocation decisions using the semantic descriptions of tasks, resources and customers.

VRMM: Virtualized Resource Management and Monitoring This toolkit is capable of creating customized virtual machines (VM) to execute jobs providing the required fully isolation between jobs. It also monitors the resource used per VM and dynamically reassigns resources in order to fulfil the QoS required by each job.
